Course Description:

This 3-day hands-on foundation-level course covers the essentials of AutoCAD Civil 3D. Students learn how to work with point data in AutoCAD Civil 3D; create and analyze a surface; develop a site; model roads, corridors, and pipe networks; work with survey data; and import and export data. 

Hands-on exercises throughout the courseware explore how to create 2D and 3D production drawings. We typically use the Civil 3D Courseware as an outline, working through a single project, looking at the different capabilities of the software. This culminates on the last day by running back through all of the features using one simple design project.

Course Prerequisites:

Attendees must have a strong working knowledge of the Core AutoCAD application and the Windows XP OS. Knowledge of Civil Engineering and/or Surveying principals is helpful.
