Autodesk Revit Structure Essentials

Course Description:

Students use Revit® Structure to learn about building information modeling and the tools for parametric design, analysis, and documentation. Students learn the fundamental features of Revit Structure, use the 3D parametric design tools to create and analyze a project, and finish by learning about construction documentation and design visualization.

Day 1

  • Building Information Modeling
  • Revit Structure Basics
  • Viewing the Structural Model
  • Starting a New Project

Day 2

  • Creating Structural Columns and Walls
  • Creating Frames
  • Creating Slabs and Roofs
  • Creating Foundations
  • Stairs and Ramps 

Day 3

  • Creating Plan Annotations and Schedules
  • Creating Sections and Details
  • Creating Construction Documentation 

Course Prerequisites:

No previous CAD experience is necessary. However, architectural design, drafting, or structural engineering experience is highly recommended. It is also recommended that the student have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft® Windows® XP.
